Lymecycline is an antibiotic prescribed for acne and rosacea. The medication is taken for 3 months, one capsule per day and is a very effective treatment. As with all medicines there are side-effects and it is important that you keep your Practitioner updated. Lymecycline, like other tetracyclines, is used to treat a range of infections. It’s more easily absorption making it a preferable tetracycline for moderately severe acne. This medicine can cause unwanted gastrointestinal effects like nausea so it can be taken before bed if preferred.

Hylase (Hyaluronidase) is used widely in medicine it is an enzyme that when injected into areas where Hyaluronic Acid filler is present will break down the chain molecules allowing the body to remove the Hyaluronic Acid. It is used in the event of a dermal filler vascular emergency but can also be used to correct unwanted effects from filler such as over correction, migration and to remove old unwanted filler before re-treating. It is very safe however there is a small risk of allergy so we always perform a test prior to a full treatment. You may require multiple sessions to achieve the desired result.

Do I need to attend a consultation
Yes, the consultation is free of charge but you must see the Practitioner face to face before a prescription can be written. In most cases a repeat prescription can be written once a review has been carried out and this can be via a telephone call or a video consultation.
